Compounded Medications Are Not FDA-Approved
Many of the products described on the Onsavo website — including compounded GLP-1 weight management medications, compounded NAD+ products, and certain peptide and hormone formulations — are compounded medications.
Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and have not been reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality. Compounded medications are prepared by a licensed pharmacy to meet the needs of an individual patient based on a prescription from a licensed provider. The FDA does not verify the safety, effectiveness, or quality of compounded medications before they are dispensed.

Compounded GLP-1 Medications

A Note on BMI
Some Onsavo programs use body mass index (BMI), along with height and weight, as part of the intake process. BMI is a general screening measure calculated from height and weight. It is not a diagnostic tool and has limitations: it does not directly measure body fat, and it does not distinguish between muscle and fat or account for differences in age, sex, ethnicity, body composition, or overall health.
BMI is only one of several factors a licensed provider may consider. Eligibility for any program is determined by a licensed provider based on your complete health information, not by BMI alone.
Telemedicine Availability Varies by State
Telemedicine services are subject to the laws and regulations of each state, and the availability of providers, specific programs, and individual products through Onsavo varies by location. Services are offered only where Onsavo and its affiliated providers are able to operate in compliance with applicable law.
