Weight Management Support
Onsavo is a self-pay telemedicine platform operated by [ONSAVO LEGAL ENTITY]. Onsavo is not a medical practice or a pharmacy. Through the platform, independent state-licensed providers affiliated with [AFFILIATED MEDICAL GROUP] review your intake information by telemedicine and, if clinically appropriate, may prescribe a provider-guided weight management plan. When medication is prescribed, it is dispensed by our partner compounding pharmacy, [COMPOUNDING PHARMACY]. Any required lab work is handled by our at-home lab partner, [CLIA LAB PARTNER].
What the Program Is
The Weight Management Support program is a provider-guided, wellness-focused approach to weight management. It is designed to help you work with a licensed provider over time rather than on your own.
Depending on your health history and what a provider determines is clinically appropriate, your plan may include:
- A telemedicine consultation and ongoing provider check-ins
- Guidance to help support healthy habits around nutrition and activity
- When clinically appropriate, a prescription that may include compounded GLP-1 medication
- At-home lab testing through [CLIA LAB PARTNER], if a provider requests it
Whether any medication is part of your plan is decided by your provider, at the provider's sole discretion, based on your individual situation. Not everyone who completes an intake will be prescribed medication.
About Compounded GLP-1 Medications
Some weight management plans may include a compounded GLP-1 medication. It is important to understand what this means.
Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and have not been reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality.
A compounded medication is prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy for an individual patient based on a provider's prescription. Because compounded GLP-1 medications are not FDA-approved products, the safety and effectiveness data published for branded GLP-1 medications such as Wegovy or Ozempic does not necessarily apply to them. You should not assume that a compounded medication will work the same way, or produce the same results, as any branded medication you may have read about.
If a provider includes a compounded medication in your plan, they will discuss it with you so you can make an informed decision together.
Who May Be Eligible
Weight management support may be appropriate for some adults who want provider-guided help with weight. Eligibility is not automatic. A licensed provider reviews your intake and decides whether the program, and any specific treatment, is clinically appropriate for you.
A provider may decide that this program is not right for you based on your health history, current medications, or other factors. Certain medical conditions, a personal or family history of specific conditions, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and some current medications may mean a compounded GLP-1 medication is not suitable. This page does not list every contraindication. Your provider will review your full intake, ask follow-up questions if needed, and discuss any contraindications and precautions that apply to you before prescribing.
Be complete and accurate in your intake. The information you provide is what your provider relies on to help keep you safe.
How It Works
- Complete your intake. Answer questions about your health history, current medications, and your goals.
- Provider review. A licensed provider affiliated with [AFFILIATED MEDICAL GROUP] reviews your information by telemedicine. They may follow up with questions or request at-home lab testing through [CLIA LAB PARTNER].
- Your plan. If a provider determines treatment is clinically appropriate, they create a provider-guided plan. Prescribing is at the provider's sole discretion.
- Dispensing. If a medication is prescribed, it is dispensed and shipped by our partner compounding pharmacy, [COMPOUNDING PHARMACY].
- Ongoing support. Your provider remains involved with check-ins to help support your plan over time and to make adjustments where appropriate.

Risks and Side Effects
All medications carry the possibility of side effects, and GLP-1 medications are no exception.
Reported side effects of GLP-1 medications can include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, stomach pain, and reduced appetite. Some people experience more serious effects. This is not a complete list.
Some people should not use GLP-1 medications at all, and there are conditions and situations in which they should be used only with caution. Your provider will review contraindications, warnings, and precautions with you based on your individual health history before any medication is prescribed.
If you are prescribed a medication, read all the information provided with it, follow your provider's instructions, and contact a healthcare professional if you have questions or experience concerning symptoms. If you think you may be having a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.
Individual Results Vary
Individual results vary. This program is provider-guided and wellness-focused, and outcomes depend on many factors, including your health history, the plan your provider recommends, and your individual response. Nothing on this page is a promise or guarantee of any particular result, and your participation does not guarantee that you will be prescribed any specific treatment.
